Electronic Prescription Service
We are upgrading to the next phase of the Electronic Prescription Service (EPS) which will mean that almost all our prescriptions will be processed electronically from 10th March 2020.
Electronic prescriptions help save the NHS money.
You will receive your prescriptions in the same way as you do now.
Read more about EPS on the NHS website.

Repeat Prescriptions
If you have been given a repeat prescription, you will find the medication authorised for repeat listed on the tear off slip, attached to your prescription
Please tick those which you require and put the slip in the box, at reception. If required by post please enclose a SAE.
Alternatively you can order online via the link at the top of this page. You will need an online account to do this. Click here for more information about our online services.
Unfortunately we are unable to take repeat medication requests over the telephone. Please contact your pharmacy or contact reception to set up online services.
A number of local chemists offer a home delivery service but you will need to speak to them directly.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow three full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.

Over-the-Counter Medications
Following a review from NHS England, we are no longer able to prescribe over-the-counter medications for minor illnesses and conditions. You may be asked to purchase these yourself at your local pharmacy or supermarket. These include, but are not limited to:
- Painkillers and medication for fevers in adults and children, such as paracetamol/Calpol and ibuprofen/Nurofen
- Other cough/cold/sore throat remedies such as cough medicines, decongestants, and throat spray
- Hayfever medications such as antihistamines, nasal spray, and eye drops
- Moisturisers/emollients for mild dry skin (e.g. Aveeno, Cetraben)
- Vitamin D supplements
