Latest News from Our On-Going Smear Campaign

We held a special event to coincide with the Jo's Trust Cervical Awareness campaign in June. We put on a variety of events and we were able to encourage patients who had not previously attended for their regular smears to come along.

Your smear is very important, so if you have not had your regular test, please phone reception to make an appointment!

Practice Closures - Staff PLT

At The Family Medical Centre education is very important to us, and we aim to keep up to date with staff training and development. On the following dates, the practice will be closed from 12:00m for Protected Learning Time (PLT)

  •  March 10th , April 28th and May 19th 
  • June 16th and July 14th 2020

If you need a doctor during these hours, please phone the practice on 0115 950 4068. If you require advice please ring 111. If it is an emergency ring 999

PPG meeting: Wednesday 26th February 2020 at 2pm

The PPG is an informal group that meets 4 times a year to discuss the practice and to hear YOUR feedback! It is a great way to give suggestions so that we can improve.

Tea and coffee is provided, and the meetings are open to ALL patients

Good or bad, we’d like to hear it all, so please come along!

Macmillan Coffee Morning

We've raised a total of £1075.35 for Macmillan Cancer Support through our coffee morning and ongoing book sale Thank you to everyone involved in raising the money.

Bowel Screening Kits

Bowel Screening kits are sent to men and women aged 60-74 every 2 years. If you are over 74 you can phone and request a screening kit. call on 0800 707 60 60.  If detected early your chance of survival is more than 90%

We have DVDs available at the practice for you to borrow in both Urdu and Punjabi in order to help you complete your bowel cancer screening.
