The NHS has put in place measures to ensure the safety of patients and staff, which may mean your patient experience is subject to change. 

Latest advice from the Chief Medical Officer (13th March 2020) is:

What to do if you have symptoms

Stay at home for 7 days if you have either:

  • a high temperature
  • a new continuous cough

Do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital.

You do not need to contact NHS 111 to tell them you're staying at home.

Read the advice about staying at home.

Use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service if:

  • you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home
  • your condition gets worse
  • your symptoms do not get better after 7 days
  • only call 111 if you cannot get help online

Please follow Public Health England advice:

  • catch it, bin it, kill it
  • Hands, face & space
  • wash your hands often with soap and water, or use sanitiser gel if not available, especially after using public transport
  • avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands
  • avoid close contact with people who are unwell 
  • All patients must wear a face covering when attending the practice.

Important Information:

Our systems will be down from 9am on the 23rd October 2020 for around 2 hours. Sorry for any inconvenience this will cause.

Flu Clinics:

For the 2020 flu clinics, there will be four different vaccinations allocated to different age groups starting in September.

  • The age group eligible for the flu vaccine has been extended to 50 upwards. (50 - 64 year olds will be vaccinated in November & December, providing there is sufficient vaccines. Unless you are in the at risk category then you will be invited sooner.)
  • We will be starting with 'at risk' patients. Vaccines will be subject to availability.
  • Don't forget you can use your pharmacy for vaccines.

On flu clinic days, we will be operating a one way system.

  • All appointments will be booked in advance.
  • Social distancing will apply to all appointments.
  • Please expect queueing.
  • Once you are in the foyer, please remove your coat and roll up your sleeve ready for the vaccine.
  • We will NOT be able to do anything other than the flu vaccination in the appointment.

Children in the 'at risk' category, have an option to have their vaccination either at school or at the GP surgery.

Children NOT in the 'at risk' category will receive their vaccine at school and NOT the GP surgery, if this is missed the school will do a mop up session.

Please let us know as early as possible if you require a home visit for your vaccination.

Please note, we can only book telephone appointments and blood test appointments requested by a doctor. If you require an appointment with a Doctor or Nurse in person, please call our reception team. 

New Prescription Service- Changing 28th April 2020 

All prescriptions will now be sent to pharmacies electronically. 

If you have a nominated pharmacy there will be no change.

If you want to nominate a pharmacy for your prescriptions to be sent to automatically, either tell your GP practice or speak to your pharmacy.

If you do not have a nominated pharmacy you will be issued with a token which looks like a usual prescription but only a barcode on it. You take this to any pharmacy and they will scan the barcode and give you your prescription. 

Please allow 72 hours for prescriptions to be processed.
