Dr. Naresh Sood’s retirement
This is to announce that Dr. Naresh Sood will be retiring in October after 42 years at the Family Medical Centre, and a 50-year career as a doctor.
Dr. Sood has been an integral part of the FMC, which was originally founded in 1874 by Dr. Bailey-Thompson and his family. He is honoured to have contributed to and carried forward their legacy.
Throughout his time here, Dr. Sood has thoroughly enjoyed working at FMC. He feels privileged to have been part of an extraordinary team that has consistently delivered quality, responsive care to the local community while also supporting many team members over the years.
Under his leadership, the Family Medical Centre has flourished into a multidisciplinary hub for teaching, learning, and research. Our practice was recognised as a beacon teaching practice and was rated ‘Outstanding’ by the Care Quality Commission in 2016.
Dr. Sood extends his heartfelt gratitude to all his colleagues, including over 60 GP Registrars with whom he has had the pleasure of teaching and learning with. Despite often difficult circumstances, our dedicated team continues to strive for excellence in patient care and support.
Additionally, Dr. Sood would like to thank all of his patients for being a part of his journey. He will treasure the relationships he has built over the years.
As Dr. Sood begins retired life, he would love to hear from patients and colleagues, both past and present.
